The gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ogun State, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, called for the cancellation of the election in the state due to alleged irregularities. He also raised concerns about voter intimidation.
Oguntoyinbo stated that the elections were characterized by irregularities, including voter intimidation, manipulation, and vote buying. He alleged that one lady, Kemi Ayodeji, the APC agent, was in charge of vote buying. He also claimed that there was evidence of irregularities in the conduct of the elections, and that the logo of his party was omitted from the ballot paper. He called for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to cancel the election due to these irregularities.
Oguntoyinbo cast his vote at polling unit 027 Adebimpe, Ofada Ward in Ogun State, and waited patiently before doing so. He had previously complained about these issues and urged INEC to rectify them.
