Nanakumoh Alexander, who goes by the professional name Aprez, was born into an average family as the youngest of 32 siblings to Mr. and Mrs. Nanakumoh Major. He attended Baptist High School in Edo Benin City and went on to graduate from Igbinedion University Okada with a degree in Law (LLB).

Aprez is from the Ijaw and Urhobo tribes. He began his music career performing with live bands and working as a studio assistant for various producers. In 2019, Aprez gained popularity with his cover of Mayorkun’s song “Betty Butter,” which went viral. He has also been involved in supporting the work of different Nigerian artists, such as DMW and Harrysong. Aprez has a strong passion for songwriting.
