The Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, has charged Nigerians to seek divine intervention to end the security challenges affecting the progress of Nigeria.
Bagudu in his statement noted that repentance has a major role in human’s life, “both on earth and hereafter”, hence the need for Nigerians to return back to God.
The Kebbi State Governor stated this at the Ramadan breakfast meeting hosting government functionaries, members of the judiciary, the legislature at the state’s government house in Birnin Kebbi.
Bagudu in a statement released through his spokesman, Abubakar Dakingari, said, “I want to emphasise the need for collective and individual supplication towards eliminating problems that engulfed our dear nation.”
“I also want to affirm the commitment of the incumbent administration to uplift the condition of living of both urban and rural dwellers and I pray God Almighty to shower His blessings on us all.”
In another development, Security operatives have arrested a 42-year-old man, identified as Nnamdi Okafor from the Amanachi community in the Orsu Local Government Area of Imo state.
Naija News reports that Okafor is reportedly the mastermind behind the recent deadly attacks in the state.
