Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has emerged victorious at the polling unit of a former governor of the state, Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja.

Makinde is running for re-election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and garnered 98 votes, while other candidates fell behind.

Teslim Folarin, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, scored 35 votes.

The gubernatorial and state House of Assembly elections were held across the 33 local government areas of the state on Saturday.
