Nigerian singer, Davido has joined the millions talking about the Anambra State’s governorship election.

On Sunday, 6th of November, the Result of Anambra governorship election was announced by INEC  Chukwuma Soludo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, who secured the majority of the votes cast with 103,946 votes. People’s Democratic Party (PDP) garnered a total of 51,322 votes to place second. The All Progressive Congress (APC) placed third with a total of 42,942 just as the Young Progressive Party (YPP) got 20,917 to place fourth on the ladder.

After the result was announced, APC called for the cancellation of the Anambra elections as INEC declares the entire process inconclusive, fixed dates for supplementary polls.

In a statement released by Chief Basil Ejidike, APC Chairman, Anambra State, he said “What is happening in Anambra is never an election but big-time electoral fraud and malpractice. We want the whole world to hear our voice that we will never accept the outcome of the Anambra gubernatorial election. The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate and the sitting Governor Willie Obiano manipulated the whole electoral system and we’ll stand to resist it…”

Reacting to the news, Davido took to his IG story to repost a photo of APC’s chairman addressing the party members about the result. Without beating around the bush, he captioned the photo; ‘SMH Useless people’
