Michy Batshuayi did his parent club Chelsea a huge favour by scoring a late goal for Crystal Palace in a 1-1 draw at Everton.
The Blues striker, who is on a season-long loan at the Eagles, struck four minutes from time to dent the Toffees’ top four hopes.
Rodriguez had given the hosts a 56th-minute lead with the 100th goal of his European club career, before Batshuayi equalised just two minutes after coming on as a substitute.
A win would have seen Everton close the gap on fourth-placed Chelsea to two points, however, the Toffees remain four points below their rivals.
