Asteroid passed the earth today..

According to experts, asteroid is potentially dangerous, estimated to be 1.2 miles wide flied passed Earth early this morning, but didn’t collide with our planet.

Asteroids are known as minor planets and Giant asteroids are called Planetoids made up of Mostly Oxygen and silicon which are the most abundant elements in the crust of the earth.

You would have seen it last night between 11pm-12am. The moon was red-ish like clay colour. Some thought it was the Ramadan half – moon, they didn’t realise it was an asteroid flew across the moon. It was a beautiful sight .

The asteroid is called 52768-(1998 OR2) was first seen in 1998, On the 29th of April, it passed within 3,908,791 miles of Earth, moving at 19,461 miles per hour. That’s still 16 times farther than the distance between Earth and the moon.

According to experts, the asteroid passed at 5:56 a.m. ET safely, and could be seen with a telescope…

It was disclosed that the asteroid is about 5 times the biggest building in the world and could cause global effects. It passed very close to our planet today.

But fortunately, it was said that the asteroid had low chances of colliding with the earth.
