Arsenal loanee Joe Willock admitted scoring a late equaliser for Newcastle against Tottenham ‘made it sweeter’ after the Magpies fought back from a goal behind to claim a vital point at St James’ Park.
With just five minutes remaining, substitute Willock grabbed a crucial equaliser to leave the Magpies three point above Fulham, who face Aston Villa later on Sunday.
Hugo Lloris kept out Miguel Almiron’s initial header but Willock arrived at the right place at the right time to crash home the equaliser off the underside of the bar and claim a deserved point for his side.
Speaking after the match, Willock told Sky Sports: “I am an Arsenal player and it makes it sweeter but I am happy to do my job”
